Fort Henry, a vital component of tourism in Eastern Ontario, contributes to the economic prosperity of many communities along the St. Lawrence River and particularly the Kingston area. Giving visitors more reasons to visit Fort Henry National Historical Site, Ontario will invest $10 million to increase its tourist appeal by:
This announcement is part of a $23 million investment in the St. Lawrence Parks Commission – an agency of the Ontario government -- to improve the quality of its attractions and to make the local tourism industry more competitive in these challenging economic times.
