Ontario is supporting tourism in Toronto by providing $342,000 to support the Canadian National Exhibition’s (CNE) marketing efforts and help fund a major new outdoor event called Jump Jet.
Jump Jet is a circus theatre performance that features cutting edge pyrotechnic and aerial stunts. It will play nightly as part of this year’s exhibition, which run August 15-September 1.
The CNE contributes to the province’s tourism economy by attracting about 1.25 million visitors each year.
“The Canadian National Exhibition is one of Ontario’s premier tourist attractions. The exhibition offers a compelling reason to visit our province and encourages tourists to experience other great Ontario attractions,” said Tourism Minister Peter Fonseca.
"The CNE has a long tradition of contributing to the Ontario economy,” said David Bednar, General Manager of the Canadian National Exhibition Association. “We’re pleased that Ontario recognizes the economic benefits that this fair brings to the province and we look forward to maintaining a strong partnership.”
