WINDSOR TO HOST 2009 TOURISM SUMMIT

McGuinty Government Supports Ontario Tourism Excellence

Scheduled for September 29 to October 1, 2009, at the Caesars Windsor convention centre, the annual summit is also an opportunity for members of the industry to honour excellence and innovation in the tourism industry with the Ontario Tourism Awards.   

 

The event is organized by the Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership Corporation, an agency of the Ontario government, and the Tourism Industry Association of Ontario.  About 500 delegates attended the 2008 Summit in Toronto.

We are thrilled to have the opportunity to host the 2009 Ontario Tourism Summit and look forward to making it a memorable one,” said Gordon Orr, Managing Director of the Convention and Visitors Bureau of Windsor, Essex County & Pelee Island.

 

“After the success of this year’s first ever joint summit, we are very pleased to partner again with the province to produce the 2009 summit and look forward to being hosted by Windsor,” said Bill Allen, President of the Tourism Industry Association of Ontario.
