Just for Laughs Festival
With hundreds of festivals and events like Just for Laughs happening around Ontario this summer, a "staycation" in the province can be an attractive option and budget-wise choice for many Ontarians.
Thanks to the financial support of Premier McGuinty's government, the Toronto Just For Laughs Festival presented by WestJet is now positioned to become one of the most prestigious summer festivals in Ontario, drawing high profile artists to the city as well as tourists from both inside and outside the Canadian borders.
“Just for Laughs entertains and enlivens its audiences just as it contributes to the local economy. Our government’s investment of $650,000 in the Toronto Just for Laughs Festival is not only supporting the growth of this internationally-acclaimed comedy event, it is also helping to raise the profile of Toronto and Ontario as destinations of choice for visitors and for Ontarians who are looking to re-discover their own ‘backyard’ this summer."
