During March Break, Ontario families can enjoy the thrill of skiing in North Bay, explore live, interactive science exhibits in Sudbury, experience life as a 19th century soldier in Kingston, or discover their new favourite painting at one of the province’s many art galleries.

      • Fort William Historical Park, Thunder Bay: Enjoy one of the largest living history attractions in North America by recreating the days of the North West Company and the Canadian fur trade. Participate in a full week of March Break day camp activities that will include snow sculptures, sleigh rides, candy making, winter birding, baking, artisan crafts and more.



      • Laurentian Ski Hill, North Bay: March Break camps offer kids the opportunity to learn basic to advanced techniques for downhill skiing, snowboarding and snowblading.



      • Science North, Sudbury: During March Break, families can enjoy an amazing butterfly gallery with hundreds of free-flying tropical butterflies, a Virtual Voyages motion simulator ride and, its newest exhibit, Meagan McGrath’s Everest Adventure. The IMAX theatre is featuring the National Geographic film Sea Monsters – A Prehistoric Adventure where with the help of IMAX 3D glasses kids will come face to face with marine reptiles of the dinosaur age, including saber-toothed fish, prehistoric sharks and giant squid.



      • Wings of Paradise Butterfly Conservatory, Cambridge: During March Break families can test their taste buds by sampling real insects in food at the BugFest from the Far East exhibit. 



      • Waterloo Regional Children’s Museum, Kitchener: Kids can experience their 15 minutes of fame during March Break at Andy Warhol’s Factory 2009. Explore the art of Andy Warhol and create your own pop art masterpieces.



      • London Regional Children’s Museum, London: For March Break voyage to the depths of the northern seas and discover the sharks of Canada at “Northern Jaws: The Sharks of Canada”.



      • Dundurn National Historic Site, Hamilton:  Discover what it was like in the world of aristocrats and servants during March Break at Dundurn Castle. Charades and gossip are some of the games you’ll play, while enjoying a variety of maple goodies made in the historic kitchen.



      • Royal Botanical Gardens, Burlington: The RBG has a lot to offer families during March Break as it welcomes the start of spring with nature-themed games, crafts, entertainment and education for kids and families.



      • Royal Ontario Museum, Toronto:  For March Break Camp children aged 5-14 can join the ROM’s instructors in the morning or afternoon for exciting hands-on activities in galleries, studios and classroom labs. Get up close and personal with the dinosaurs and hear about the adventures of ROM palaeontologists. Discover the history behind Dungeons & Dragons and other popular role-playing games.



      • Art Gallery of Ontario, Toronto: The AGO provides March Break campers ages 6-13 a studio experiences taught by experienced artist-instructors. The camps are designed to develop technical skills, build confidence and nurture each child’s creative imagination. 



      • Casa Loma, Toronto: Join March Break activities by singing along in a high school talent show, or join Casa Loma’s Pirate guides on a treasure hunt through the castle.



      • Fort Henry, Kingston: Check out Fort Henry’s special March Break programming “Day as a Soldier”, a hands-on program that teaches kids about living life as a solider in 1867. Activities include doing inspections, letter writing, marching drills, and a special ghost hunt.



      • Canada Aviation Museum, Ottawa: During March Break, the Canada Aviation Museum is holding a LEGO contest for preschoolers to Grade 6 and celebrating 100 years of flight with a scavenger hunt through its new exhibition.



      • Canada Science and Technology Museum, Ottawa: Motion Commotion at the Canada Science and Technology Museum will let kids discover the forces that set the world around them in motion.



      • Canada Agriculture Museum, Ottawa: is featuring Barnyard Break, where kids can visit the animals, help make some wintry recipes and help name the new calves.



      • Canadian Children’s Museum, Ottawa: is inviting youngsters to embark on the Great Adventure, an exhibit that takes children around the world during March Break.



      • Wheelers March Break Maple Festival, McDonalds Corners: Visit Lanark Highlands over the March Break to hop aboard a horse-drawn sleigh and have your kids sample delicious maple taffy on snow. Devour plates of pancakes, go snowshoeing and take a self-guided tour of a working maple sugar bush.
